About this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how EveryNest uses cookies and similar technologies on our website (everynest.app) and in the EveryNest mobile app. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
EveryNest is operated by Pivotal Finance S.à r.l.-S, a company registered in Luxembourg (RCS B289140). If you have any question about this Cookie Policy, contact us at hello@everynest.app.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website or app stores on your device when you use it. They are used for a variety of purposes — some are strictly needed for a site to work at all, some help remember your preferences, and others are used to track your activity for advertising or analytics.
Similar technologies (such as local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB) do broadly the same thing as cookies but store the data in a slightly different way on your device. Where this policy refers to "cookies," it includes those similar technologies.
What we use, and what we don't
We only use strictly necessary cookies.
Specifically:
- A session cookie to keep you signed in while you are using EveryNest. It is deleted when you sign out or when your session expires.
- A very small amount of local storage in the app to remember which household you are currently signed into, so the app can load the right data when you open it.
That's it.
We do not use:
- Advertising cookies
- Tracking cookies of any kind
- Analytics cookies that identify individual users (we do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar service)
- Third-party cookies for behavioural profiling
- Retargeting or remarketing cookies
- Social media pixels
We do not sell, share, or transfer cookie data to advertising networks or data brokers.
Why we don't ask for cookie consent
Under the ePrivacy Directive (as implemented in Luxembourg by the Law of 30 May 2005 on electronic communications networks and services), consent is not required for cookies that are strictly necessary for the service the user has requested. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner.
If we introduce any additional cookies in future — for example, if we later add opt-in analytics or a support chat feature that uses cookies — we will:
- Update this Cookie Policy to describe them.
- Ask for your explicit consent before those cookies are set.
- Provide you with a way to withdraw that consent at any time.
Third parties in the app that may use cookies on their own surfaces
When you leave EveryNest to visit a third-party service (for example, following a link to the Google Play Store, or the Apple App Store, or the Prighter website to contact our UK representative), that third party's own cookie policy applies to their site or service — not ours.
EveryNest does not embed advertising networks, social media widgets, or third-party analytics that would set cookies on your behalf while you are on our site or in the app.
Your device controls
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser or device settings. Doing this on our site or in the app may make it impossible for you to stay signed in or to use EveryNest at all, because the cookies we set are the ones needed for the service to work. That is your choice — but we thought you should know the effect.
Instructions for the most common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Cookies and website data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
On Android, cookie handling for the EveryNest app is managed by the operating system's app storage controls (Settings → Apps → EveryNest → Storage).
Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. If we make a material change — for example, if we introduce new cookie categories — we will notify you before the change takes effect.
